Elijah today asked to go see Papa and well trying to explain to a 3 year old the logistic of seeing Papa proves to be difficult. It was not only difficult because he saw him last week, but the whole distance thing.
So here's the conversation:
Elijah: I wanna go see Papa. I wanna go to Papa's house.
Me: Well Elijah Papa lives in Colorado
Elijah: Colorado? Can we go to his house?
Me: Well we would have to get on a plane to go to Colorado
Elijah: A PLANE! Let's go get on a plane
Me: It takes a lot of money to ride on a plane
Elijah: Money? A lot of Money
Me: Yes
Elijah: Humph! (with attitude) I wanna see Papa
Me: Sorry Bud maybe someday soon
I love that we can share our lives with all those who we love and miss. Our daily life is full of change, milestones, and excitement.
