Elijah's first day of school picture
Elijah really LOVES kindergarten!!! The morning of his first day of school Elijah woke up, picked out his clothes, and dressed himself all before breakfast. This and in itself is a miracle!!! He is happy everyday that I pick him up from school. He says his favorite things so far is coloring and playing outside with the other kids.
Elijah was placed in an inclusion class with special education students and a regular students. He is still considered special education because of his speech needs, but that is it. The great thing about an inclusion class is he has TWO teachers!!!!! Plus teacher aides which are awesome. I just love that he is getting lost in the sea of kids and seems to be really thriving so far. He talks about what he is learning all the time and looks forward to school everyday.
If anyone talked to me this summer I was a wreck about him going to school. I was so worried because all summer he told me he didn't want to go because there "were to many kids in kindergarten". And me knowing Elijah knows how particular he is about his personal space. Thankfully, the teachers say he is doing really great with all the kids, but is very particular in the the things he loves to do.

Showing me his cool new lunchbox for school. He wanted to keep his old backpack, but loved getting a new toy story lunch box. Elijah's lunches this year consist of a hummus sandwich, piece of fruit, yogurt, and juice. Interesting to say the least....:)
Before the first bell rings the kids have to sit on a line outside the room. There is a boy line and a girl line. Elijah wanted to hold Rowan while waiting to go into class. He was telling all the girls about his baby brother and how he smiles ALL THE TIME. It was one of the moments that was just so sweet.
