While Nanna was visiting Jaron went on a cross country for work to Boston. Its a way for him get flight time and experience flying outside the training flying pattern. While visiting Boston the visited the first GE plant that was built. The GE plant makes the CH53's and well are making a new model the CH-53K, but it is not completed as of yet. Jaron and his fellow Marines flew the helicopters into a field behind the plant and did a Q&A for the workers there at the plant. Jaron said, that most of the workers had not seen one completely together and in action so that was exciting for them. I think that he really enjoyed this experience because he felt like a real professional (expert) in his field. He was able to answer almost all the questions that were asked.
What a wonderful experience in public relations, but also a confidence booster. He has been doing flight training for two years now, so I sure it felt great to beable to be knowledgeable. The other part of their trip was of course site seeing and drinking at the local pubs. Overall, it was a great experience for him and that makes me very happy.
PS: having some trouble arranging and narrating the pictures. Sorry :(
