It's exciting and said to say that Rowan is now officially ones years old. He is no longer considered an infant, but more like a toddler. He is no longer nice and quiet, but load and vocal. He is no longer lump of squishy baby, but a bundle of energy. The first year blew by so quickly and to be honest Rowan has probably done more in his first year then some people do in 5 years or even a lifetime. Rowan has been to 3 states, seen a volcano, done some amazing hikes, been in the ocean and some of the most famous beaches in the world, and that is just to name a few. Too bad he wont remember any of it. :)
I have to say this last month of Rowans first year has been CRAZY! Between Elijah and Ava they work me pretty hard, but now Rowan has decided to become one busy little man. Here are few of his favorite activities that we don't like:
1) Dumpster Diving
2) Toilet Splashing
3) Bath invader
4) Master climbing the couch to obtain the remote.
5) Screaming when he wants something
Yup, you read right he can climb the couch and jump on it like a trampoline. He loves the bathroom if the door is left open. One night he crawled into the bathroom while Elijah was bathing and climbed into the tub with him. Thankfully, I was just behind him, but just a second to late. Lastly, he loves to get stuff out of the trash can to eat. GROSS!!! The scearming is becoming less and less, but noneless the less he still does it.
The other thing he is great at are:
1)Puzzles
2) building blocks, though he likes to destroy brothers and sisters building first
3) He sings and hums all the time.
4) He is great about lighting up a room with his great big smile.
5) He roars like a dinosaur and quack likes a duck
6) He has said Elijah twice now
7) Shakes his head yes when asked a question
8) takes a few steps at a time when encouraged
He loves pretty much all food, but his favorites are grapes, oranges, apples, bread, cheese, chicken, broccoli, and sweet potatoes.
More then anything we are just so blessed to have him and can't wait to watch him grow even more this next year.
So this is some of what Rowan has been up to his last month before turning 1 years old.

Mommy thought it would be a good idea to wear a helmet...no really I was just trying it one so he could ride on the back of my bike.

Playing with his birthday balloons.
Disclamier: I do not let him play with balloons when I am not in the room.

Thank you to everyone who came and brought gifts to Rowan. We are so blessed to have you all in our lives and as part of our Hawaii family.
