Introducing the CH53-E or in laymen terms a really big helicopter that Jaron's flying. Jaron currently is flying the CH53-E, but will be flying the CH53-D in Hawaii. The big difference is the "E" has three engines and the "D" has two. There are others but I am just common folk with no real inside knowledge of how those things work! :)
So yesterday Jaorn's childhood friend Bryan and his wife Stephanie stopped and visited us for a day. We went up to Jaron's current squadron and looked at the helicopters in the hanger. We had a lot of fun climbing in and out of them. Its amazing how big those things are and how many buttons and instruments. Jaron was telling us that during his pre-flight inspection he has to get up on the round thing that holds the rotor blades to inspect stuff up there. He said its pretty scary because its so far up. I don't know about you, but I couldn't do the things he has done in the last three years in the Marine Corp. They certainly make you do things that most of us would find freighting.
Just wanted to share some pictures of his beloved helicopter!
